Abena’s Hydrocolloid Dressing is an adhesive wound contact dressing. It absorbs wound fluid and provides a moist environment which supports the body’s healing process and promotes autolytic debridement (removal of necrotic material from the wound) without damaging new tissue. Hydrocolloid Dressings act as a barrier to the wound against bacterial, viral, and other external contamination, which help minimize the potential of exposure to nosocomial or infectious agents. All Hydrocolloid Dressings may be used alone or in combination with other wound care products as directed by your healthcare professional.
